Egypt & Jordan January, 2012 An 18-day solo trip Egypt and Jordan, in a tour group run by G Adventures. Highlights included the Pyramids, Cairo, Aswan, Luxor, sailing on the Nile River, hiking up Mt. Sinai, relaxing on the coast of the Red Sea, desert camping with the Bedouin people, Petra, and floating on the Dead Sea. |

In addition to Bryce and Zion, we visited Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument and Cedar Breaks National Monument. And a pitstop in Las Vegas. |

Death Valley National Park (California, USA) July, 2011 A side trip with co-workers before our conference in Las Vegas. Death Valley is the lowest place in North America. It's known for being a desolate and unbearibly hot desert. Makes for a great destination! :) |

Italy May, 2011 A group of eight friends from Chicago and Detroit met up in Italy to experience "la vita dolce." We visited over 10 towns in Italy, including Rome, the towns of the Amalfi coast, Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Venice, and Milan. |

Japan November, 2010 Ingrid, Mo, and I used cheap frequent flyer miles and hotel points for a fun-filled visit to Japan. Most of the time was spent in the buzzing, ultra-modern megalopolis of Tokyo and the quiet, traditional old town of Kyoto. |

Oktoberfest Euro Trek Oktober, 2010 Alejandro, Salim, Mo, and I had a calling from the Beer Gods and made a pilgrimmage to Munich, Germany for Oktoberfest. Along the way, we also visited and sampled the alcoholic beverages of Zurich, Prague, Berlin, and Madrid. |

China April, 2008 Mo, Ryan, and I dug a hole through the ground and ended up in China. We traveled to Beijing, Xi'an, and Shanghai. We saw great landmarks like the Forbidden City, the Great Wall of China, the Terracotta Army, and Mt. Shan. |

Costa Rica November, 2008 Alejandro, Chris, Mo, Sammy, and I embarked on a trip to Costa Rica. It was a "guy's vacation" - nothing planned, nothing reserved in advance. Just driving around the country in our rental truck. We visited San Jose, Drake Bay, Corcovado National Forest, Mt. Arenal, Tamarindo, and a small surf town on the central coast. |
